Message I was pondering this yesterday. I drive my Z maybe once a week now. I've been through hell and back with my Z. There's $7,000 a certain someone owes me that I know I'll never see back. My $6k paint job (minus the stuff they lost/damaged) ended up costing me almost $14k since I had to front for the second one. In the last two years, my Z spent a total of just over half that time in a shop, my tranny died and cost me another $3k, and already there's a nice chunk of paint missing from the front bumper... but you know what? When I sat down in my Z yesterday and was enveloped in those oh so comfortable leather seats, reclined to just the right position, surrounded in good tunes in a ride that hasn't lost it's visual appeal in 10 years, the bumpy road my Z put me on (or I put it on) all dissappears. I fight the urge to drive my Z everyday. It handles so damn well, has just enough power for my tastes, thumps the tunes, and gets compliments wherever I go. I love my Z. I may be in the hole for it, but I can't stand to think that I won't be able to drive it forever. I could have soooo much money saved up had I not bought my Z, or started down that upgrade path, but overlooking the bad times, and thinking about where I am now, I realize just how much I enjoy my Z. Anytime you upgrade, you're gonna have headaches. Take it in stride and imagine the outcome when it's all done. I was in rush hour traffic recently for almost an hour and a half to drive a piddly 27 miles. I was in my Z and I wasn't nearly as irritated as I would of been if I was in my . It's reasons like that, and the joy I get everytime I drive my Z that keeps me hanging on to it indefinitely. We aren't the only ones who share this sentiment. Anyone with a love for their car probably feels this way. The oldie cars, mustang owners, rodders, etc all wrench on their car through the good and the bad for whatever that feeling is car enthusiasts have towards their rides. Not to mention we keep credit card companies in business :)
